Frank’s Power Plant is proud to host a special Bay View Gallery Night benefit for Milwaukee’s Habitat for Humanity. Area artists have transformed found doll houses into unique works of art which will be auctioned off via a silent auction taking place throughout the evening. Representatives from Milwaukee’s Habitat for Humanity will be on hand to speak about their work in our community and ways that the public may get involved. Milwaukee Habitat for Humanity and ReStores depend on partnerships to fulfill their vision of a world where everyone has an adequate, affordable place to live. Those who do not wish to bid on their favorite house will still have a chance to donate to this great organization, as well as purchase raffle tickets for a surprise drawing to be held at 10 pm.
From five til ten pm, Franks will be having a Gallery Night record spin, snacks donated by Rocket Baby Bakery and as always, a full service bar with great bartenders.
After nine pm, Franks POST PARTY hootenanny begins with three of the city’s best bluegrass bands!! MISSISSIPPI SAWYER, BREWGRASS, and THE THISTLEDOWN THUNDERS. COVER IS ONLY 5 DOLLARS!

Puddler’s Hall is pleased to have two Milwaukee-based artists return for BVGN. Christine Burke will showcase her acrylic on canvas paintings including pop culture, abstract, and scenery paintings. Samantha Henson will have on display pen and ink and mixed media wood burning.

Cream City Swirl is Dog-Gone Good! We’ve gone to the dogs by featuring art work with Bay View’s unofficial mascot , The Dog. A variety of artists of all ages use the quirky Canine to inspire creativity. All artists are encouraged to submit paintings, drawings, sculpture, and mixed media. Dog photo booth & free dog treats for our local canine pals during gallery hours.
Featuring: Moraye, geometric handmade jewelry made from local reclaimed wood. Sarah Thierman’s ceramic goddess sculptures and flat ladies, recently shown at the John Michael Kohler Art Center exhibit “Folktales and Legends”. Large scale glass mosaics by Indie La Londe. Bounce Milwaukee will be working with We Paint artists to helping you and your children create your own color wheels, coupled with painting demonstrations to showcase what we are all about. Come paint and play with us!

Akara arts will be featuring a short documentary called “Rebel Path” featuring PJ Heffernan, one of Wisconsin’s only certified ashtanga yoga instructors . New paintings from Katerina Nissa, Brian Nusslock, Shawn Gurath, and Nolan Bonner, new ceramic and print work from DakotaSky Bowen, Sculpture by Scott Lashay, and various works by Jacob Klapperich will also be on display. Come check out Bay View’s newest tattoo shop! In-house artists Ruben Alcantar, Nisha Kumar, Jocelyn Schmidt, Patrick Mbida and Rachael Nelson will have their art on display and for sale. Guest artists Ryan Laessig and Rachel Hughes will have their art featured as well. We will also be displaying art from fellow tattooist’s Zach Black and Nick Hetzel from Serenity Ink.

At 6pm an R-Hero sculpture will be dedicated in front of Milwaukee Fire Department Station 11. This art sculpture will stand to promote fire education/prevention and to bring attention to the work that is performed daily by members of the MFD.
Artists Karen and Tony Barone are the creators of this piece of art. Ms. Bunni Benaron is the president of The Hero In You Foundation that provides the monies for this all to happen. Currently 27 sculptures are in front of fire stations throughout the United States.
This dedication along with a little library also being installed that night in front of the firehouse is in conjunction with the Bay View Gallery Night.

Community Circle art project: Each participant would get a chance to paint a circle while it is spinning, making unique and fun designs. You can pick multiple paint colors or brushes to enhance your piece of art. All of these circles will be put together to make a community colleague.
Back by popular demand – henna tattoos! Our featured artist Jessica will be displaying her hand painted silk scarves. Alex Paniagua will be playing live acoustic guitar. We’ll have product demos and raffles through out the night.
